At Connected Care, our primary goal is to connect families with dedicated and skilled caregivers, ensuring a seamless and harmonious relationship. To achieve this, we offer a transparent and affordable placement fee structure tailored to suit our clients' budgets. This
document outlines the terms and conditions related to placement fees for clients.
Placement fees are charged to clients for the successful placement of caregivers into their households. These fees are designed to cover the costs associated with the selection, vetting, and placement process. Our placement fees vary based on the specific needs and
preferences of the client, ensuring flexibility and affordability.
Our fee structure is as follows:
Placement Fee: A one-time fee charged upon the successful placement of a caregiver. This fee varies based on the caregiver's qualifications, experience, and the client's specific needs.
Placement of Au Pairs: We charge a one-time fee of 9.5% of the au pair’s annual salary upon the successful placement. This ensures that our clients receive the best possible match for their household needs.
Ongoing Support Fee: An optional fee for continued support and mediation services to ensure a harmonious relationship between the caregiver and the family. Additionally, if the relationship between the client and the chosen caregiver does not meet expectations within the first three months of employment, Connected Care offers a replacement service. We will provide a new caregiver for the client at no additional placement fee, ensuring the client's needs are met without extra financial burden.
For ongoing support, we charge R289.00 per month. This fee provides access to continued support and mediation services, ensuring a harmonious relationship between the caregiver and the family.
Payment Terms/Payment Schedule
Clients are required to make payments according to the following schedule:
Placement Fee: Payable upon the signing of the placement agreement and before commencement of duties by the Au pair or Nanny
Ongoing Support Fee: Payable monthly or annually, as per the client's preference.

Refund Eligibility
Clients may be eligible for a refund under the following circumstance:
• The caregiver is unable to commence employment due to unforeseen circumstances.
Refund Process
To request a refund, clients must follow these steps:
• Submit a written request outlining the reasons for the refund.
• Provide supporting documentation, if applicable.
• Allow up to 14 business days for the processing of the refund request.

Fair Treatment and Welcome
Clients should treat caregivers with fairness and respect, fostering a welcoming environment. Upon arrival, clients should give caregivers a comprehensive tour of their duties and the household. For families with au pairs, it is important to have an initial meeting with both the children and the au pair to clearly outline duties and establish boundaries, ensuring mutual respect and understanding.
For safety purposes, clients are required to provide the agency with certified ID documentation and a police clearance certificate. This ensures that the agency's au pairs are placed in secure and trustworthy environments.
Clear Communication of Duties
Clients must clearly outline all required duties for the caregiver to prevent any misunderstandings or assumptions. This ensures that the caregiver is fully aware of their responsibilities and can effectively manage their tasks. Proper communication from the onset helps avoid any potential lapses in fulfilling duties and promotes a harmonious working relationship.
Provision of Employment Contracts
Clients are required to provide a contract to their caregivers within the first three days of commencement of duties. This helps caregivers feel a sense of security and clarity regarding their job. The contract should outline all terms and conditions of employment, including duties, working hours, and compensation. If the client is unable to draft a contract, the agency can offer one to ensure compliance.
Accurate Information
Clients must provide accurate and complete information regarding their household, preferences, and requirements for the caregiver.
Timely Payments
Clients are required to make payments according to the agreed-upon schedule to avoid any delays or disruptions in the placement process.
